Gééčko was not built to be the biggest. It was built because something about the big gay apps bothered us — and it may have bothered you too.
An email, a password and your town are all it takes. No card, no phone number.

This is not a meat counter
You know how a lot of these sites look: an endless grid of photos where all that counts is how you look, who is nearest and who is online. You open it, scroll, close it. Like a shelf in a shop.
Gééčko is built the other way round. A profile here is not a business card with a photo — it is somewhere you say something about yourself. Answers, interests, a few sentences. So somebody knows whether you have anything to talk about, not only how you look.
It is not about getting through as many people as possible. It is about finding one worth starting with.
Nobody here is going to pester you
On the big apps everybody sees you and you see everybody — and with that comes a pile of messages you did not want, from people you were not looking for. Here you set it yourself.
- Only your age range sees you
- Anybody outside the range you set will not find your profile at all. You do not have to think about who might come across you.
- You search by your own area
- You choose how far you are willing to go — and people outside that circle do not see you and you do not see them.
- Block whoever you like
- And anybody who crosses a line can be reported.
It is not about having as many contacts as possible. It is about being left in peace.
Your privacy comes first here, not afterwards
This is the thing we care about most — because we know a lot of people here are not out, and cannot afford for it to get out.
- You do not need a photo
- A profile without a photo is completely normal here — plenty of people have one. And it works fully, not in some cut-down mode.
- A private gallery
- Photos you would rather not show everybody go in the private gallery and you open them only to whoever you choose. You can take that access back at any time.
- Google will not find you
- Profiles are not indexed by search engines. Somebody who does not know you from Gééčko will not come across you in a search.
- We do not want a phone number or an ID
- An e-mail, a password and your town are enough. No face verification, no number tied to your name.
- Your name is never shown
- You appear under a nickname, not under what you are called.
Free. Really.
No subscription, no coins, nothing unlocked for money. What you see is what you get — profile, search and chat, all of it, free. We will not blur profiles at you until you pay.
What we are trying to get to
Honestly: we are a young Czech project, there are not as many of us as on the big apps, and in some corners of the country there are still very few. We are not going to hide that from you.

But what we are trying for is something the big apps cannot do: for people here to be somebody who answers rather than a photograph. We are building Gééčko so that a conversation does not begin and die at "hi" — so there is something to react to, so the first step is not so hard, so you get from a profile to a person.
You do not have to pick only one app. But if you would rather get to know somebody than scroll past them, and if you care who can see you — Gééčko is for you.
